💡 Course Overview

Level 2 of the Abdominoplasty Master Program is designed for surgeons who are ready to transition from theory to surgical confidence. This intermediate-level training blends comprehensive theoretical instruction with hands-on experience performing abdominoplasty on live cases under expert supervision.

Participants will refine their understanding of surgical anatomy, muscle plication, liposuction integration, and complication management while developing practical mastery in full abdominoplasty procedures on real patients.

🗓️ Course Structure

📖 Day 1 – Theoretical Foundations (8 Hours)

Module 1: Advanced Abdominal Anatomy

  • Surgical planes, neurovascular mapping, and zones of adherence
  • Safe dissection techniques and blood supply preservation

Module 2: Abdominoplasty Planning & Surgical Design

  • Full, extended, and lipo-assisted abdominoplasty
  • Umbilicus repositioning: technique and aesthetics
  • Muscle plication strategies for rectus diastasis

Module 3: Complication Management

  • Managing hematoma, seroma, wound breakdown, and necrosis
  • Preventive techniques and intraoperative troubleshooting
  • Antibiotic use, drain protocols, and post-op infection control

Module 4: Ethics, Consent & Documentation

  • Informed consent standards in body contouring
  • Legal considerations and patient communication
  • Pre-operative photography and surgical planning tools

✂️ Day 2 & Day 3 – Hands-On Practical Training (16 Hours Total)

Live Surgical Cases
Participants will work directly with instructors in a real clinical setting to:

  • Mark patients and plan procedures
  • Perform incisions, dissections, and muscle tightening
  • Reposition the umbilicus
  • Integrate liposuction techniques
  • Close incisions using layered suturing and scar placement strategies
  • Apply drains, compression garments, and post-op instructions

Surgical Case Rotation

  • Work in small groups on multiple patient cases
  • Perform different procedural steps under supervision
  • Receive direct feedback and guidance from faculty
